Counselling Services
What is outpatient Treatment?
Also called therapy or psychotherapy, counselling is the process of meeting with a therapist to resolve problematic behaviours, beliefs, feelings, relationship issues, and/or somatic responses (sensations in the body).
Therapy focuses on “normal issues” that come with human development. Therapy helps people overcome obstacles to their well-being. It increases positive feelings such as compassion and self-esteem. People in therapy learn skills for handling difficult situations, making healthy decisions, and reaching personal goals. Contrary to society’s perception of therapy, many people find they enjoy the therapeutic journey of becoming more self-aware.
Different types of therapies we offer
Individual Therapy
It is a joint process between a therapist and a person in therapy. Common goals of therapy can be to inspire change or improve quality of life.
Therapy or counselling can be a big step towards being the healthiest version of oneself and living the best life possible, no matter what challenges one may be facing. One can be able to change self-destructive behaviours and habits, resolve painful feelings, improve relationships, and more.
Family Counselling
Family members and loved ones work together with the therapist to help mend broken relationships, improve the home environment, and help family members better understand the nature of alcohol and drug addiction. Both the person struggling with addiction and their family members may receive assignments to help practice new behaviours at home and set reasonable goals to encourage positive behaviour changes.
Career Counselling
Career counselling is a form of therapy to help you know and understand yourself better and the world of work, so you can make clearer and better career, educational, life decisions, and productivity.
